The Social Media Star Known for His Braiding Skills Will Play Host to the 2024 Let’s Goooo Festival, Raising Funds for Youth Sports and Community Support
Charlotte, NC (July 13, 2024) — Juan Castano, social media sensation, barber, braider, and founder of 1nito will be co-hosting the Let’s Gooo Festival on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT at Sherrills Ford Optimist in Sherrills Ford, NC alongside Jorge Luis Rosario Jr, proud owner of Glizzies by the Lake Catering. The event aims to raise funds for local children’s sports programs and improve community sports fields.
Colombia-born, turned North-Carolinian barber, Castano has gained fame through his exceptional braiding skills showcased on TikTok. His journey of resilience and dedication and exceptional work, has inspired millions, amassing over 1.1 million followers on Instagram, 1.1 million followers on Facebook, 7.5 million followers on TikTok, and 3.59 million subscribers on YouTube. Rosario has a rich background in autism and mental disability care. After moving to North Carolina in 2021, he and his wife started Glizzies by the Lake Catering, fostering connections and community spirit. Enhancing sports facilities and hosting community events like this has been his dream, desiring to ensure that every child has a chance to thrive.

The Let’s Gooo Festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of community spirit. Attendees will enjoy a day filled with live music, games, activities for all ages, and the highly anticipated annual hot dog eating contest that the event is famous for. Local businesses will be joining in, allowing the community to discover and support unique products and services. The event will include a small petting zoo, face painting booths, tattoos, bounce houses, basket donations, photographers and many more await participants during promising everyone a good and purposeful afternoon. Part of the proceeds collected from the Let’s Gooo Festival will be used to donate back to these causes for the community, fulfilling their goal.
“We’re doing it to help out sports kids that parents don’t have money for, that’s the main focus. Our goal is to generate not just with this event, but with multiple events in the future, but starting off with this event to raise enough capital to be able to extend fields and hopefully be able to entice parents or coaches to come to the community, to be able to build more teams, so that way there are no kids that are left behind and not able to join a team.” says Castano on why he’s hosting the event.

While Castano has a significant social media presence, his participation in the Let’s Goooo Festival represents an effort to expand his influence beyond digital platforms.
