Essince on the Exciting Future of Award-Winning Music Marketing Company Royal Heir Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Essince Collins.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Thank you for the feature. I was born in Honduras and adopted to northeast Ohio to a loving home. Before I became a multi-platinum, award-winning music marketer and pro basketball team owner, I fell in love with sports and music at home. I played basketball all my life and when I was around 11 years old I started making music; writing songs and playing instruments. I interned for local and distant record labels as a teenager and eventually released my first CD senior year of High School, where I told a few hundred copies during lunch. I have a BA in Audio Production from Webster University in St. Louis, MO and started Royal Heir Entertainment my senior year (November 2008). I always found opportunities to learn and grow because I always volunteered to help. I’d setup chairs at music conferences so I could get in for free to network and soak up game. My journey was slower but consistent. I now manage a chart-topping artist, own the Akron Aviators minor league men’s basketball team, and travel the world booking tours, creating marketing plans, and creating income and opportunities for our clients.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

It’s never been “easy” but it becomes less complex as I grow and learn more. I’ve had to overcome a lot. My adoptive parents have always been supportive and they instilled hard work and the love of learning. I wasn’t given a lump sum of money to go start a business, I had to fund my own career with the jobs I had serving, washing dishes, working retail. I’ve overcome slander, I’ve overcome having ideas and money stolen, I’ve overcome learning how not to be taken advantage of. I’ve overcome having to learn new languages in order to do business in new areas. There’s always a way around or through your obstacles.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

With Royal Heir Entertainment I specialize in helping singers, rappers, athletes, and brands increase their fanbase and revenue. I love teaching people the industry and genuinely enjoy what I do. My ability to relate to people is what has helped me stand apart. I’m an award-winning marketer, but I was also an artist who booked his own paid international tours and could sell 100+ tickets to a show so I understand both sides well. I study trends, I travel, I immerse myself in the business and industry and we are quick to adapt.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Finding success is a 2 part process, and it’s all based around learning. Part one is to learn yourself. What does success mean to you? If you don’t know you’ll never reach it. Is it money? Is it about happiness? Is it about doing what you love? How much money is that? What makes you happy? What do you love to do? Part 2 is to work backwards from the end goal to where you are now.

For example, if success to you is earning 100k a year and we’re working backwards, what do you need to do to generate about $2k per week? Can you do it with what you’re doing now as an entrepreneur? Do you need a new job?
That’s the formula.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success to me means a few things and it’s changed over time so it will for others, too. I want to be physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually healthy/wealthy. Success is leaving a positive impact on the world. Success is having enough money to not be worried with emergencies, bills, etc. It’s hacking my body to improve my health and mobility. It’s improving my faith in God and helping me be a better leader.
I have goal lines for some and for others it’s always growing so I have something to shoot for.

What’s next for you?

Next is to increase the staff and reach at Royal Heir Entertainment as we expand more into the Sports world. Royal Heir Entertainment is the Roc Nation of the minor leagues (athletes and artists just a step away from the majors). And we’re just getting started on a multi-year plan. I’m really excited. Rapid expansion in sports and media is our future.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?

I’d love to connect with everyone on social media and also the Royal Heir Entertainment website!
