Exclusive Interview with Nitres

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nitres.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, I go by the stage name, Nitres Tha Veteran. I am a rapper, singer, and CEO/Founder of the record label Mila Musik Group LLC. My style is polished, unique, energetic and melodic. I utilize my distinct voice and style to become unparalleled in this music industry. I originally made my mark many years ago in my home town of Raleigh, North Carolina quickly rising to prominence at the top of the local music scene. The cool thing is that being in demand secured opportunities for me to open for many Internationally known superstars including Atlanta child-R&B star Sammie. I’ve also had the pleasure of working on music with top artist like Petey Pablo, Dj Unk, Pastor Troy, Lil Ru, Mike Jones and many others.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

No, it did not. I had to fight through people telling me that it was just a dream to make it in the music industry. Often times, my family and friends didn’t take my music serious. I spent tons of money on recording, mixing, mastering, marketing and networking to get my music and name out to the masses. The biggest hurdle I faced starting out was not having the money to compete in this game. I had to work countless day jobs over the years and grow in them to get the kind of money that would allow me to self invest in my music career.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

In a nutshell, I am the music industries new phenomenon!! LOL…In 2017, I released my viral single “SORRY” which resulted in two local nominations for “Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year” at both the Carolina Music Awards & Carolina Music Video Awards. The popularity of the single later inspired a radio remix featuring Houston legendary rapper Mike Jones…“Who? Mike Jones!” “Who? Mike Jones!” and Atlanta super-producer/singer/songwriter Tasha Catour.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

I tell people all the time…to be successful you have to have vision, drive and determination. You are guaranteed to fail along the path to success, but whether or not you can get back on your feet and keep going is the key! That’s what breads success.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success is all about having the freedom to wake up everyday and do what you love!! If you love money and you wake up everyday getting to it, then you are successful. If you love helping people and you wake up everyday in a position to help people, then you are successful!!! As long as you have the heart and the courage to go out and make a way to do the one thing you love the most, you are successful in my book!!

What’s next for you?

Last year I released my album Epiphany after 3 years and now I am in the stages of producing my new album….new videos, just more NITRES for the world to hear and see!! lol.
