Exclusive Interview with Jeremy Yencer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Yencer.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

It all started after getting arrested at 16 years old. I wouldn’t say I liked school and was hanging out with the wrong crowd of people. I was very close to dropping out.

Although, sometimes, what seems like the worst situation could happen to you is the best. I had to complete several hours of community service, which I met at a local church where the pastor started mentoring me—getting arrested changed the trajectory of my life. Mentorship opened up new ways of thought I never imagined myself.

While in College, I joined the Army National Guard despite my ankle injury. The Army is where I developed mental toughness.

I was an honor graduate from basic and advanced infantry training and received the honor to go to Army Airborne School. The Army taught me discipline and how to remain calm under stressful situations.

Perseverance has been the theme of my life. After college, I got into Door to door sales, where I learned sales and the hard knocks of a commission-only job.

I’ve always believed personal growth is essential in our lives. I became a certified life coach through John Maxwells Coaching program who is the #1 leadership coach in the world.

I’ve hosted multiple mastermind groups and I’ve helped coach dozens of people helping them achieve personal growth, career success and healthier relationships.

After enduring lots of struggles myself and investing a lot into my personal growth, I love nothing more than helping others reach their goals!

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Life has a lot of twists and turns. Sometimes things are going perfectly, and BAM, something changes it all.

One of my most significant challenges was breaking my ankle my senior year right before I was getting ready to join the Navy, ruining my chances for joining, but this led to me getting a college degree.

Throughout college, I started a business with a mentor/partner, but the partnership didn’t work out. The company ultimately failed, but I learned a ton about business, entrepreneurship, and finding the right partner.

At 27, I hit a point of depression where I was feeling down on myself. I was gaining unhealthy weight and was the heaviest I had ever been, and I was not personally growing. My focus was on all the wrong things. Luckily, I hired a life coach and went on a retreat to Thailand, reshaping my mindset and beliefs at the time.

I’m a high advocate of coaching and I believe that the right coach can help
turn your life around and get it on the right trajectory. Ultimately, I lost 30lbs and developed all my healthy habits again putting my back on the right trajectory.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I started meditating at the lowest point in my life when dealing with depression. Nothing seemed to matter, I was fighting with my wife, and I had no purpose. It wasn’t until I started meditating that my life slowly changed.

I now created steps to help career-minded individuals to take back control of their lives and stress by assisting them in starting a meditation routine and creating actionable steps toward tangible goals.

We first develop awareness for our lives while creating a North Star to focus on and guide us. Then we use meditation to help calm our nerves and reset when it all becomes too much.

I am always available to support my clients when they need it in their most desperate times. I love helping people, and I’m a genuine person who truly wants to help.

I know what it feels like to be broken, stressed, and lacking purpose. I have taken steps to build myself back up, and now I get the opportunity to help those who are dealing with the same things and guiding them to achieve great success and a life they love everyday.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Plan out your 20-year vision. Everyone looks for shortcuts. BUT YOU PLAY THE LONG GAME!

Focus on growth rather than goals. Goals are ok, but growth is the pinnacle. Keep pressing forward. If you keep getting 1% better every day, what would be possible for your life in 20 years?

Do the little things every day, which will add up to a lot over time! If you want to be a musician, practice every day. If you want to be a writer, write every day, whatever you want to do, be persistent, keep
working every day!

But above all, NEVER GIVE UP! Life can be complicated; unforeseen things will appear, but keep your eye on the prize. Cosching forces you to refocus when life punches you in the face!

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success to me is being of service to other people. I believe as long as I can help other people, I’m successful. Success isn’t necessarily monetary for me. It’s about building great relationships. I believe relationships are everything!

People are at the core of everything we do, and I love people, and if I can help someone, it’s a great day! That’s what I consider a success!

What’s next for you?

I am working on my Master’s Degree in Mindfulness at Lesley University. The goal is to provide training programs to small and medium-sized businesses to help teach their employees mindfulness-based stress reduction, an 8-week course medically proven to reduce stress and help people relax and focus.

I’m also a husband and father. My wife is currently pregnant with our second son. So I’m excited about another boy! We now have a 2-year-old who is a joy and a ton of energy. So I look forward to our family growing.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more?
