Today we’d like to introduce you to Naikie Reeves.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
My life was challenging, to say the least. Losing my mother at a young age (7), having my father in and out of my life due to incarceration, having children young and my own incarceration all played a part in who I became. I decided that if I wasn’t going to be born into a large family, I would create one with a larger community. Seeing the destitution and despair of people who looked like me truly broke my heart. This company we are building is an extension of my mission to create economic stability in my community.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
There were many. I would say 2 of our biggest obstacles were unfortunately getting my own people to believe in the project and ultimately, each other, along with fighting TikTok censorship and an unimaginable amount of nonsense cgv’s. We fought scam allegations and came out the other end with a loyal group who saw the effort put in to make blaamazon and the blaam fam app possible. We were able to accomplish this by being transparent, connecting with our audience, and being consistent with what we were building. When people see the head getting their hands dirty, they tend to follow suit. I will be forever grateful to the people who followed me into the fire while we were and still are building this platform.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
Before blaamazon I worked primarily in web development, graphic design, as well as apparel design and production. The biggest advantage of working with me is my eye, along with my ability to see the bigger picture and work toward its achievement. It boils down to simply being RELENTLESS!
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
BE RELENTLESS! Also accepting that you CAN NOT do it all! My fiance Nellie has been by my side helping me every step of the way! Finding your tribe and building that community is very important, especially to EARLY success.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success is simple. It means I accomplished what I set out to do. Intrinsically that will be different for everyone, but when I cross that finish line and the blaam fam aka the blaamily is with me, we will have made it. An economic powerhouse driven by the ideas, abilities, and talents of my people is the goal!
What’s next for you?
On top of getting the 2023 Blaamy Awards underway, building and maintaining a live feature for blaam fam is our next move. With the addition of this feature, we’ll truly give these other social media apps a run for their money, more so than we are now.
