Rebuilding After Rock Bottom: How Kristine Chilton Turned Adversity Into Empowerment

When the world seemed to close in, Kristine Chilton didn’t crumble—she rebuilt. The founder of I Will Find Joy and Life Transition Coach turned her most painful life chapters into a movement of resilience and empowerment for women facing their own storms.

What began as a small act of survival has since evolved into a mission-driven brand focused on helping others rediscover purpose through pain. “I know the isolation that comes with debilitating chronic illness,” Chilton shares. “Finding an online community that understood what I was going through changed everything—and I wanted to give that same hope to others.”

Finding Meaning in the Mess

In 2007, Kristine created a Facebook page to connect with people struggling through chronic illness and pain. But as the years unfolded—with divorce, loss, grief, and reinvention—her digital presence evolved into something more profound: a beacon of healing and hope.

“I’ve learned to create light in dark places,” she explains. “I want women to know that thriving after trauma is possible. It’s not about pretending the pain isn’t there—it’s about transforming it.”

When Action Became the Turning Point

Like many entrepreneurs, Chilton’s journey was riddled with uncertainty. “I hired coaches and mentors, but every new step seemed to bring new challenges,” she recalls. Yet, amid the confusion, one lesson stood out: movement creates momentum.

“Action was the game-changer,” she says. “Every time I took a step forward, I received encouragement that reminded me why I started.”

Her decision to join Speakerpreneur and work with business coach Akbar Sheikh became a defining leap. “It was a moment of courage,” she says. “I realized I couldn’t live a big life while playing small.”

Redefining Success on Her Own Terms

Chilton’s advice for emerging entrepreneurs is grounded in empathy and self-belief. “Celebrate your wins—even if no one’s clapping,” she says. “When your ‘why’ is strong enough, you’ll find the strength to keep going. Ask for help when you need it.”

Her honesty about the ongoing challenge of balance also resonates. “I’ll let you know when I figure it out,” she jokes, echoing the truth that self-care is often the hardest part of success.
