In September 2026, the author, entrepreneur and professional speaker is launching The Luck Architect™, a national speaking and personal development platform that examines how calculated risks, visibility and deliberate action can increase the likelihood of opportunity.
The premise comes from Kent’s own varied career. Rather than treating her biggest breaks as isolated strokes of fortune, she began studying what she had done before they appeared.
“Luck isn’t random. Luck is something you do,” Kent says. “You can’t control what opportunities will show up, but you can absolutely stack the odds in your favor.”
A Career Built Without a Straight Line
Kent’s professional history makes an unusual case study.
Her career has included work on television productions such as The Walking Dead and MythBusters, along with entrepreneurship, media and real estate. She has built and sold businesses, invested in and flipped properties, and earned six figures on her first house flip.
Those experiences crossed industries, but Kent noticed a recurring pattern. Opportunities often followed periods when she was willing to act before she knew precisely where an action would lead.
That realization eventually became the foundation for The Luck Architect.
Kent is particularly interested in the tendency to demand certainty before taking a chance. In her view, that expectation can become its own barrier. A person waiting for proof that an introduction, investment, idea or career move will succeed may never create the conditions that allow something unexpected to happen.
Risk Without Recklessness
Kent’s approach is not an argument for impulsive decisions. The distinction matters.
The Luck Architect centers on calculated risk, where potential consequences are considered but uncertainty is accepted as part of moving forward. It also examines visibility, decision making and the ability to recognize opportunities that might otherwise be overlooked.
