There is a familiar contradiction in the lives of many successful women. They can build businesses, manage demanding schedules, and make difficult decisions with confidence. Yet when it comes to their own fitness, they often find themselves returning to the same cycle of diets, restrictions, and promises to start again.
Anna Waites has spent a decade examining that disconnect.
As the founder and head coach of Sculpted Magic, Waites believes the conventional approach to fitness places too much responsibility on discipline and too little attention on personal identity. Her coaching philosophy begins with a different question: What happens when a woman starts seeing herself as someone who naturally prioritizes movement and healthy habits?
That question is central to Sculpted Magic LIVE, her newly launched online coaching program for ambitious women worldwide.
The Problem With Relying on Willpower
Fitness programs frequently begin with instructions. Follow this meal plan. Complete these workouts. Avoid certain foods. Stay consistent, regardless of what else is happening.
The structure can be appealing, particularly to women who are accustomed to setting goals and measuring progress. But Waites argues that an approach built primarily around restrictions can become difficult to sustain.
Her perspective comes from experience. After losing 70 pounds and maintaining her weight loss, Waites dedicated 10 years to developing the Sculpted Magic method. She is also an ACE certified fitness trainer.
What emerged was a philosophy centered on making healthy behaviors part of a woman’s self image rather than treating them as temporary requirements.
“Diets are designed to fail. Identity is designed to last. Sculpted is my normal,” Waites says.
The distinction matters to her because discipline, by its nature, requires conscious effort. Habits that become familiar and personally meaningful may be easier to maintain through changing circumstances.
That does not eliminate the practical work involved in fitness. Exercise, nutrition, and consistency remain relevant. Waites’ approach focuses on changing how women relate to those responsibilities.
Becoming the Woman Before Chasing the Results
The Sculpted Magic method begins with what Waites calls installing the fit identity.
Instead of asking participants to organize their lives around a desired number on the scale, she encourages them to develop the mindset and routines of the person they want to become.
For a business owner, the concept may feel familiar.
Building a company often requires making decisions based on a larger vision, even before the business fully reflects that ambition. Over time, those decisions establish patterns that shape how the organization operates.
Waites applies similar reasoning to personal fitness.
She wants women to approach movement as something they enjoy and recognize as part of their lives. Food, meanwhile, should no longer become a constant source of guilt or negotiation.
One of the program’s more distinctive messages is that dessert can remain on the menu.
Rather than promoting strict elimination, Waites encourages participants to move away from the belief that physical transformation requires abandoning foods they love.
The intention is to make fitness feel compatible with everyday life, although individual results will naturally depend on personal circumstances and consistent health behaviors.
A New Chapter for Sculpted Magic
The launch of Sculpted Magic LIVE extends a coaching business that has already developed an international audience.
Sculpted Magic reached 10,000 Instagram followers during its first year and now provides online coaching to women around the world.
The new program uses limited enrollment cohorts, with prospective participants invited to inquire about availability and the application process.
For Waites, the broader ambition is to change the conversation women have with themselves about fitness.
She believes women who have spent years proving their capabilities professionally deserve an approach to physical well being that does not leave them feeling perpetually behind.
Her message is less about pursuing another short period of intense effort and more about building a way of living that feels sustainable.
In the Sculpted Magic philosophy, the desired outcome is simple: a woman reaches the point where taking care of her body feels ordinary.
Not another challenge to conquer. Just part of who she is.
