African Creator Turns Tech Reviews Into a Global Movement Reimagining Africa’s Connections

From the streets of Lagos to the global stage in Paris, Izzi Boye is reshaping the role of the tech creator in the modern digital world. What began as a simple mission to make technology more relatable has evolved into a global movement, one that is reshaping how Africa engages with innovation and how the world views African creators.

With over 1.4 million followers across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, Izzi has built one of the continent’s most trusted platforms for tech storytelling. His content doesn’t just highlight features; it translates technology into real-life value for everyday users. And through a tone that is honest, engaging, and deeply grounded in local context, he has carved out a unique space in the global creator economy.

“I’ve always believed that tech doesn’t have to feel intimidating,” Izzi says. “If you can make it relatable, you can make it powerful.”

From Chemistry Graduate to Tech Trailblazer
Izzi began his journey in Nigeria, trained as a chemistry educator. But his curiosity for gadgets and his drive to demystify tech sparked an entirely new direction. Frustrated by the lack of region-specific reviews, he picked up his phone and started creating videos, using borrowed devices and homemade setups.
Rather than mimic Western formats, he addressed questions African consumers actually ask: Will this phone handle unstable electricity? Is the price justifiable for what it offers? Will it work with local networks? His answers struck a chord. Over time, so did his voice.

Earning Trust, One Honest Review at a Time
As his platform grew, Izzi attracted collaborations with global brands including Google, YouTube, Meta, ASUS, Tecno, EcoFlow, FXTM, and Zenith Bank. His influence wasn’t built on polished production or aggressive promotion, but on clarity, consistency, and credibility.
“What I’ve built is bigger than content,” he explains. “It’s a relationship. People trust me to tell the truth, and that’s something I never take lightly.”

Today, Izzi is not just a content creator, he’s a key voice in how tech is received, reviewed, and reimagined across Africa.
@izzi_verse: Where Tech Meets Community.

In 2024, he launched @izzi_verse, a live streaming and gaming-focused expansion of his brand that brings his audience into real-time conversation. From product demonstrations to casual gameplay and live Q&A sessions, @izzi_verse creates an environment where viewers don’t just watch, they participate.

“We talk specs, test devices, laugh, learn, and build community,” he says. “It’s not about perfection, it’s about presence.”
The platform is already gaining traction as one of the few creator-led tech ecosystems on the continent, and Izzi is using it to spotlight African perspectives in a global tech dialogue.

Thriving Through Challenges
Like many African creators, Izzi has had to work through persistent hurdles, unreliable electricity, limited access to devices, and the high cost of internet data. But instead of slowing him down, these obstacles have become part of his brand’s strength.
By building with what he has, he reflects the reality of millions, making his content not just informative, but relatable. His followers know that if a product works in Izzi’s world, it’s ready for theirs too.
“If it works here, it’ll work anywhere. That’s why people pay attention,” he says.

Representing Africa on the Global Stage
In June 2025, Izzi will represent Africa at VivaTech Paris, one of Europe’s most prestigious tech and innovation summits. It’s a major moment, not just for him, but for the broader narrative of African creativity and influence. He is also slated to attend CES 2026 in Las Vegas, cementing his presence on the global stage.
“This isn’t just about me,” he says. “It’s about showing that African creators are not on the sidelines, we’re building, leading, and shaping the future.”

A New Standard of Digital Influence
Izzi Boye represents a growing wave of African creators who are proving that global impact doesn’t require global resources, just relevance, honesty, and purpose. His story is a powerful reminder that the most meaningful platforms are not built overnight or backed by trends, but shaped by trust and community.
From recording reviews in Lagos to speaking on innovation panels in Paris, Izzi is more than a creator, he’s a movement in motion. One that’s changing the way Africa connects with technology. And one that’s inviting the world to pay attention.
