From Burnout to Breakthrough: How Kit and Rosie Volcano Built a 7-Figure Coaching Brand

In 2013, Rosie Volcano and her partner Kit were deep into their yoga practice and spiritual development, having found transformation through Forrest Yoga. Inspired to share this healing path, they opened a yoga studio—only to see it collapse under the weight of a belief system many spiritual entrepreneurs quietly carry: that making money is somehow “unspiritual.”

“We were addicted to the ‘humble healer’ belief that money was evil,” Rosie recalls. “Our business failed miserably.”

Broke and crashing on a friend’s pull-out couch in 2017, they faced a crossroads. That’s when they made a bold, counterintuitive move: they invested $10,000—money they didn’t really have—into a coaching program.

It changed everything.

Breaking Beliefs, Rebuilding Business

That single investment cracked open a whole new world for the couple. They didn’t just learn business tactics; they reprogrammed their limiting beliefs around money, worthiness, and visibility.

Within 12 months, their new coaching brand, The Little Volcano Coaching and Communication, hit its first six-figure month. Since then, Rosie and Kit have built a thriving ecosystem of digital courses, online challenges, coaching programs, retreats, and live events, reaching clients across the globe.

But the real transformation came not just from strategy—it came from choosing to be fully, unapologetically themselves.

A Moment That Changed Everything

There was one pivotal moment in that first coaching retreat that would shape their personal and professional lives forever. The four-day event was hosted by a group of Christian leaders—a setting that, up until then, Rosie and Kit had intentionally avoided.

“We had previously kept our distance from Christians because we assumed they judged us,” Rosie explains. “So we judged them right back.”

But early in the retreat, the lead coach, Sabastian—a former pastor—offered a challenge that hit home:

“Give them a reason to reject you, and you give them a reason to accept you.”

Those words struck a nerve.

At the time, Kit was newly transitioning from female to male. He had a full beard but also still had breasts, a juxtaposition that often drew stares, assumptions, or judgment. Determined to lean into vulnerability and live Sabastian’s quote, Kit decided to make a statement.

On Day 2 of the retreat, he slipped on Rosie’s purple leotard under his clothes. The leotard boldly read “with my witches.”

As the group danced to “I’m Sexy and I Know It,” Kit seized the moment. In a room full of conservative strangers, he stripped down to the leotard. Jaws dropped.

Here stood a bearded man with breasts, no visible bulge, and absolute confidence.

Sabastian didn’t hesitate. He raised his hands, smiled, and said, “Come to Daddy.”

Kit ran to him, jumped into his arms, and kissed him.

Later, Sabastian—whose birthday it happened to be—said,
“That was the best birthday present I could’ve ever received. To know that my words meant that much, and that you trusted this room full of people who you knew were probably judging you… Thank you.”

By the end of the event, the group of 50 attendees—many of whom had never knowingly met someone from the LGBTQ+ community—had transformed from strangers to chosen family.

“It broke down walls on all sides,” Rosie says. “We all learned that people are hard to hate up close.”

That lesson—radical visibility and fearless authenticity—became the cornerstone of The Little Volcano’s coaching method.

Coaching with Heart—and Strategy

Today, The Little Volcano is a brand that teaches entrepreneurs how to overcome fear of judgment, step fully into their power, and build lives and businesses rooted in authenticity. Rosie’s advice for aspiring business owners is simple, yet powerful:

“Authenticity is your superpower. Take the risk. Trust the process. Make a decision and make it right.”

To avoid burnout, Rosie walks the talk—daily yoga, breathwork, biohacking, and time away from screens are non-negotiables.

What’s Next

Looking ahead, Rosie and Kit are expanding their media presence. They plan to release books and launch a podcast, while also amplifying their visibility through guest features and interviews.

“We want to help more people set themselves free from the fear of being seen. That’s our mission,” Rosie says.

For those seeking transformation—not just in business, but in identity, impact, and income—The Little Volcano is a beacon of what’s possible when you combine heart with hustle.
