From Homelessness to Healing: How Michelle Cardinal Built a Voice-Centered Empire

Michelle Cardinal

When Michelle Cardinal stood on Mt. Shasta, living in a bus with her toddler and no money for gas or food, she nearly gave up on her dream.

“I questioned every choice I had made,” she recalls. “But God kept whispering, ‘Keep going.’”

Today, she’s the founder of Sing With Chelley, a global movement that helps people use their voices to heal from trauma and reclaim their power.

Her method is unorthodox but potent: singing as a tool for emotional liberation. Not about performance, pitch, or pleasing an audience—this is about permission.

“After a life of being silenced by abuse, singing freed my voice. Now, I help others do the same.”

The Business of Emotional Liberation

What began as an intuitive calling turned into a full-fledged business—though not without struggle.

“People didn’t understand that singing could be therapeutic. I didn’t always know how to find the right rooms or clients. And I was still battling my own imposter syndrome.”

But a defining moment in Greece shifted everything. At a yoga retreat, Michelle asked to lead the group in song.

“Thirty-five people sang together, and the entire room was in tears. That’s when I knew I had something powerful.”

Since then, Michelle’s platform has expanded into speaking engagements, private coaching, and group workshops. Her unique blend of spirituality, sound, and emotional intelligence is carving out new territory in the wellness and coaching industries.

A Mission With Global Resonance

Her aspirations aren’t small.

“I want to fill stadiums. I want the world to sing its soul song together, to remember that we are one,” she says.

This August, she’s releasing her first book, Being Too Much, a guided journal that invites readers to express unapologetically.

Michelle’s story proves that your voice—when unleashed—can be your most powerful asset.
