Washington, D.C — The Council for Laurel Honors and Merit Awards (CLHMA), operating under the Institute of Law Research & Development of the United Nations (ILAWDUN), has officially announced the launch of its highly anticipated 10-Layered Laurel Prizes and Merit Awards, aimed at recognizing outstanding individuals and product joined-individuals who have made groundbreaking, exceptional, globaly impacted contributions in research, innovation, policy , or programmatic alignment and development advancement for the benefit of humanity.
In accordance with the ILAWDUN Constitution and the established Code of Standards and Procedures for Merit Awards, the Laurel Prizes will be awarded to individuals or collaborative teams who have made globally impactful contributions through research, policy innovation, technological advancement, or humanitarian efforts.
The ten constituted award prizes are as follows:

•International Law & Diplomacy (ILD)
•Legal Literature & Law Development (LLLD)
•Law Litigation Solution (LLS)
•Human Rights & Humanitarian Law (HHL)
•Civil Liberty & Human Rights (CLH)
•Broad-spectrum Literature (BsL)
•Broad-spectrum Analytical Philosophy (BsAPhil)
•Technology & Science Innovation for Law and Development (TSILD)
•Standard-Bearer of Judicial Honoris (SJH)
Each year, CLHMA appoints a panel of distinguished judges and a technical review team to evaluate submissions. Finalists are selected after rigorous assessments, with winners honored during a high-profile award ceremony. The event will feature speeches, music, art, and global messages from thought leaders, institutions, and governments. These proceedings will be broadcast to a worldwide audience through Web-TV, international media outlets, and digital publications, ensuring maximum visibility for all honorees.
Award recipients will also be listed in the prestigious Role of Laurel Prize Winners and Merit Awardees—an official annual record archived permanently.
To uphold the integrity of the awards, the identities of the judging panel, comprising eminent professors, jurists, and respected global figures, will be revealed only after the selection process is completed.
The upcoming 2026 award ceremony is set to be one of the major features of the Global Summit and Training Programme on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Technology, and Law for Sustainable Development (GLOTADALS), scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C. from 22 – 28 of March 2026. In particular , the Laurel Prizes Award ceremony will be held on March 28, 2028.
Particularly, the Technology & Science Innovation for Law and Development (TSILD) prize will focus on groundbreaking work in artificial intelligence and legal innovation in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Nominees in this category are expected to demonstrate excellence in applying emerging technologies to advance legal systems and promote global well-being.
