After serving nearly thirteen years in the U.S. Army, Jackson returned to civilian life with a clear goal: build something that allowed him control over his time, his environment, and his impact. Barbering became his first entrepreneurial lane, where he spent more than two decades behind the chair mastering craft and community.
Legacy Studio as a Platform for Real Stories
The pivot toward filmmaking began organically. Around 2018, Jackson started producing his own commercials and branded visuals, discovering that storytelling through film offered the same sense of connection he once found in the barbershop. When a serious family health crisis forced him to close his barbershop, Jackson made the decision to fully commit to media production.
He enrolled at Full Sail University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Digital Cinematography, pairing formal education with real-world experience. That combination became the backbone of Legacy Studio, now based in El Paso.
Legacy Studio was designed to solve a common problem for creators: having a strong message but no clear way to translate it into high-quality content. The studio provides a controlled, professional environment for video production, podcasting, and branded storytelling—allowing clients to look and sound like the level they are aiming for.

Beyond commercial work, Jackson has focused on creating platforms that serve culture. Off Top, a live performance series produced through Legacy Studio, has become a destination for independent artists seeking visibility with intention. Artists travel across state lines to perform, drawn by the studio’s emphasis on clean audio, cinematic visuals, and respect for the creative process.
Many artists featured on Off Top have gone on to secure new bookings, expand their audiences, and gain momentum in their careers. For Jackson, those outcomes matter more than metrics.
