Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela D Kurt.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

I have started from very humble beginnings. I grew up in a rural area of Ohio outside Cleveland. My father pasted away when I was very young. My mother did remarry but wasn’t the same with my father. I wasn’t as close to my Mother as one would of expected. I left my family’s home once I was 18 years old. I worked a lot and tried to go to college part time. I later moved to the Washington DC area to start a new career to make enough money to pay for college. I met my ex husband at that time. I was married and divorced as a single mother before the age of 25 years old. I worked multiple jobs to keep things afloat and went back to school. I was determined. I graduated with my associates, bachelors, masters and juris doctorate. I have overcome poverty, domestic violence, lack of self confidence, medical issues and more. NOW, I am successful. I own multiple companies including, Best Version of You, LLC. I have made it to where I am because of my faith. I never gave up and God never gave up on me. My new life coaching business is developed to share struggles and encourage all women to be their BEST SELF. The coaching program is Dream. Believe. Achieve. DBA: YOU! This platform allows women to become the best version of themselves. I am also happy to share and encourage other women

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I grew up in a rural community in Ohio, and we were extremely poor. I lost my dad at a young age, which was a pivotal experience for me. I viewed my education as my steppingstone to getting out of poverty and drove myself to perform. This eventually led to a skewed view of my value as a person, in that if I didn’t get top marks, if I wasn’t the top, I wasn’t worthy. This created the idea environment for my first marriage, where I experienced domestic violence and abuse. I left my husband and pursued further education, getting my MPA in administration and my JD at the same time. My son, Josh, became one of my most positive driving forces. After leaving law school, I opened my own law practice. Now, after 13 years, I’m transitioning to career coaching, helping other lady lawyers take the steps they need to set up their own successful practices.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I’m driven to connect with the other world changers, the people who can see the problems in the world and have a plan to fix it. Whether they are attorneys, like many of my clients, or those who work in mental or behavioral health, or any other field – the hope dealers, the legacy-builders, those are my people. I want every person to know and truly believe they can become the best version of themselves they can envision.

Everyone has a story and it’s worth sharing. How do you feel? How do you want to feel? You are here for a purpose. Let’s explore it. I offer that transformation because I have also been through it.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Focus. Focus. Focus. Stop getting distracted by shiny object syndrome and put your head down and focus on forging your own path. You’re not going to achieve your best version of YOU, if you’re trying to compete or become someone ELSE. The world needs YOU, needs your magic, your shine, your hope, your story, your glow. You have experienced every chapter in your story up until now, because you’re going to be able to offer it to someone else as a survival manual.

Also have the faith. Your desire are out on your heart to be fulfilled. You deserve to have it all and that is the kind of empowerment for women I do!
Let’s collar borate not compete!

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

I’m driven to connect with the other world changers, the people who can see the problems in the world and have a plan to fix it. Whether they are attorneys, like many of my clients, or those who work in mental or behavioral health, or any other field – the hope dealers, the legacy-builders, those are my people. I want every person to know and truly believe they can become the best version of themselves they can envision.
Success is helping more women become the best version of themselves!

What’s next for you?

I want BVU (best Version of you) to be a household name. I want everyone to know how to become limitless!
If money and time is no object what would you do? My coaching program.. Dream, Believe. Achieve. DBA: YOU! Teaching you how to be the authentic fulfilled purposeful YOU! I want the membership for the organization to be accessible to all. Sharing your story only continues to empower more women.
I’m currently working with a long-time business friend on getting a domestic violence recovery course in the hands of survivors so we can stop the recidivism of domestic violence victims. I’m also actively looking to take more speaking opportunities and talk to more lady lawyers. Law is ever evolving, and we have to evolve and grow with it.
