Today we’d like to introduce you to Aleechea Pitts.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I am no stranger to controversy. I have written stories about things others would keep a secret. I know that when you tell the truth there is freedom in it.
Having survived childhood abuse, gun-violence as a kid, rejection over and again, living life of a broken vessel, I became a useful vessel that is not only a 5-time author, a sought after speaker, working for social services, musician and singer, but also a leader of change for the wider community.
I got to where I am today because spirituality changed my life. What a difference God has made in my life!
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
The challenges I had to overcome along the way was dealing with low self-esteem. As a child I was picked on because I was different. I knew my family loved me, but I wanted outside acceptance. On several occasions I tried committing suicide. To add on to this onslaught, I was molested at the ages of 7, 11 and 14. Going through these things made me better and at one point vindictive. I would pay evil for evil because I wanted others to hurt like I was hurting. The turn around happened when a lady who use to come to my basketball games gave me a greeting card. She always entreated me with kindness. Within the card was a handwritten letter from her stating don’t be bitter, but be better. She explained to me that God has not given up on me, so I can’t give up on others. This changed me on how I treated others, despite of how they treat me. As I got older I learned that we are not held accountable for what people do to us, but we are accountable for what we do unto others. So many people are dealing with self-acceptance and self esteem issues, because they are so caught up on how others feel about them, not knowing that how you feel about yourself is the most important. You must love yourself and in order to do that, you must like who you are and who you have become.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I am the founder of Paulean Ministries, a outreach ministry specializing in caring for people God’s way. I work for social services as a human service specialist, constantly working with the public and have more than fifteen years of experience as a leader of change for the wider community. “When you deal with ministry and community you must have a love for people and patience.” I am the first and only Afro-American female police chaplain of the Millville Police Department and am known for being committed to educating the church and community on social issues and human rights.
Survivor is an understatement. I help others by sharing my story. I am an instrument of God’s love through whom God speaks the words of wisdom, love and peace to lead and guide all those whom God seeks. I am an experienced lecturer and have extensive training in Biblical Counseling which makes me effective in reaching out to others.
My passion is to help people discover their heart and put them in the position of wholeness.
My calling is to help with an approach that is biblically centered. I have experience, provide guidance and assistance for a wide variety of issues.
The benefits of working with me over the competition is that I am a trusted mentor who will walk alongside you. You will learn more about yourself, improve self-esteem and learn how to find and use your authentic voice along with leading others.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
My best piece of advice for those who desire to find success is to have the motivation to move forward. Many people are inspired, but not motivated. Motivation moves you to action. Do not just be inspired by my best piece of advice, but be motivated by it.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success to me is seeing what you want and you just go get it!
God has reminded me that He will provide me with all the support and encouragement required to obtain my objectives in life. I’ve been advised by Him to follow my goals with all diligence, devotion and will power available to me.
What’s next for you?
My next is launching a 12 month leadership development mentorship program for women in January 2023. I would love partners in this venture. This is a tool that will build leaders to lead with confidence and build up, inspire and empower the people around them.
