In an era obsessed with overnight success stories, Camay’s rise as founder of Camay Capital Group proves that real success is forged in the fire of persistence—not in the glow of quick wins.
From Military Discipline to Entrepreneurial Vision
Born in New Orleans and raised across the South, Camay’s early life was anything but stable. By the time she graduated high school, she had attended 18 different schools, an experience that taught her adaptability and resilience.
That resilience carried into the U.S. Army and, later, into a 22-year career in law enforcement. While raising children and building her career, she realized stability wasn’t enough.
“I wanted more than just surviving—I wanted to build something that would outlive me,” she shares.
That clarity ignited her entrepreneurial leap, fueled by grit, anchored in faith, and peppered with humor that has become her signature.
Breaking the Cycle of Hustle Without Strategy
Camay admits her early days as an entrepreneur were defined by hustle but lacked direction. She worked tirelessly, often burning out, until she recognized a key flaw: she was operating in survival mode.
That realization wasn’t just about business—it mirrored what she had seen time and again during her career in corrections: talented people stuck in cycles of stress without clear strategy.
Everything changed when she stopped trying to do it all alone.
“Once I stopped being the smartest person in the room, my profits—and my peace of mind—went up.”
By surrounding herself with mentors and applying the same leadership principles she used in law enforcement, Camay transformed scattered hustle into a sustainable model for both business and life.
Legacy Over Income
Camay’s mindset shift from “I have to” to “I get to” unlocked her next level. She launched the Profiticale podcast, became licensed in real estate and mortgage loans, and began writing books—all as extensions of her purpose.
But more than titles or income streams, Camay’s law enforcement journey shaped her commitment to building a legacy pipeline: developing leaders who can withstand pressure, serve with integrity, and carry forward values that outlast a paycheck.
Wisdom for the Next Generation
Her advice to new leaders—whether in business or on the front lines of corrections—is refreshingly unfiltered: stay consistent, get a mentor, master one thing before chasing the next, and don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle.
“Done is better than perfect,” she emphasizes.
Looking Ahead: Forging Future Leaders
Camay is preparing for her next chapter: scaling internationally, transitioning from law enforcement to full-time consulting and coaching, and launching Camay Capital Group Coaching & Consulting—a platform dedicated to equipping law enforcement leaders with the skills to lead with clarity, resilience, and purpose.
“I love people, I love teaching—and if I’m honest, I love the attention just a little bit too,” Camay laughs. “So stay tuned—this is just the beginning.”
