Fifteen years into his legal career, E. Nathan Harris is entering a period defined by a different kind of responsibility.
The founder and owner of Abogados Centro Legal, legally Harris & Associates Law, LLC, has spent much of his career representing Hispanic and immigrant families in Alabama. His work has brought national recognition and more than $50 million in recoveries for clients. Increasingly, it is also placing him in leadership positions within the state’s legal profession.
Harris was elected Secretary of the Alabama Association for Justice for the 2026 to 2027 term after serving as Treasurer from 2024 through 2025. His leadership trajectory currently puts him on track to become the organization’s president in 2030.
From Building a Firm to Serving the Profession
Harris founded his law practice in 2010. Five years later, the firm was rebuilt and renamed, eventually developing into Abogados Centro Legal, a bilingual personal injury and immigration practice based in Hoover, Alabama.
The decision to serve Hispanic and immigrant clients became central to the firm’s identity. For families navigating an unfamiliar legal system, language can create an immediate barrier. Immigration concerns and cultural differences can make an already difficult situation more complicated.
Harris built his practice around closing that distance.
His professional reach has expanded along the way. He was admitted to practice in Alabama in 2010, Tennessee in 2017, and Georgia in 2024.
Recognition Beyond Alabama
In November 2025, Harris was re-selected to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Attorneys, adding to a growing list of professional distinctions.
He received Rising Stars recognition from 2019 through 2024 and Super Lawyers recognition for 2025 and 2026. Earlier honors include The National Trial Lawyers 40 Under 40 in 2017 and Birmingham Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2024.

The comment points back to the work behind the accolades. Since 2010, Abogados Centro Legal has recovered more than $50 million for clients while developing a practice designed to serve people who may otherwise struggle to find legal representation that understands their culture, language, and circumstances.
The Next Chapter
Harris’s growing role within the Alabama Association for Justice brings another dimension to that work. Leadership within a statewide professional organization means contributing to conversations that reach beyond a single firm or case.
It also marks how far the practice has come.
What began in 2010 as a legal practice has grown into a bilingual firm with a defined community focus and a founder assuming greater responsibility within Alabama’s legal profession.
For Harris, the next chapter appears to be less about changing direction and more about carrying the same priorities into a wider arena.
