From Stroke Survivor to Wellness CEO: The Resilient Rise of Khurram Bukhari

Khurram Bukhari—widely known as K.B.—is redefining what it means to overcome adversity. From surviving a life-threatening stroke to building a fast-growing wellness brand and an inspirational media platform, his story is a testament to grit, grace, and growth.

Early Life: Strength Born in Brooklyn

Raised in a modest Brooklyn apartment by a single mother, K.B. learned resilience at an early age. His mother, a hard-working woman with unshakable faith, instilled in him the core values that would later guide his success: perseverance, humility, and purpose.

After her untimely passing, Bukhari found himself lost in grief. His struggles led to addiction and emotional chaos. But with the unwavering support of his wife and a fierce desire to rise, he turned his life around—getting clean, pursuing higher education, and earning an MBA.

Climbing the Corporate Ladder

By his mid-30s, Bukhari had carved out a strong corporate career. But life had another challenge in store—one that would change everything.

A Stroke, A Setback, and a New Beginning

On Christmas Day 2017, Bukhari suffered a massive stroke that left him in a coma. When he woke, he had lost the ability to walk, talk, and perform everyday tasks. Even more devastating—he had lost his voice, literally and metaphorically.

His struggle with speech affected his self-esteem, and he began bombing job interviews, losing confidence with each setback. But true to form, K.B. didn’t give up. He committed to speech therapy and eventually found his voice again—stronger, clearer, and more impactful than ever.

Today, Bukhari speaks at corporate events, youth programs, and hospitals. His journey from silence to stage is proof that healing is possible with heart, hustle, and hope.

Building NUR Medspa & Wellness

Out of adversity came clarity. With renewed purpose, K.B. and his wife, Dr. Saima—his life partner and business partner—launched NUR Medspa & Wellness. Designed as more than just a medspa, NUR is a holistic haven for those seeking physical rejuvenation and mental peace.

The couple leads a growing team of eight, offering advanced aesthetic services and wellness therapies that reflect their own healing philosophies. NUR has quickly become a staple in the community, known not just for its treatments, but for the authenticity and compassion behind them.

They’re also proud parents to two daughters, Ayza and Emaan, who serve as constant reminders of why they continue pushing forward.

The Podcast That’s Changing Lives: Stroke of Success

Recognizing the power of storytelling, K.B. launched Stroke of Success, a podcast spotlighting real people with powerful comebacks. It’s not just about stroke recovery—it’s about all forms of resilience, from financial to emotional.

Bukhari leads a team of five behind the podcast, creating a platform that offers hope, strategy, and inspiration. From entrepreneurs to survivors, guests share insights that resonate with anyone striving to bounce back from hardship.

More Than Business: A Movement With Purpose

Before launching NUR, Bukhari had already dabbled in entrepreneurship—from real estate to car washes. These ventures sharpened his business skills but also clarified what truly mattered: leading with intention.

Today, he combines business with purpose, using every platform—medspa, podcast, and public speaking—to uplift and empower others.

Words to Live By

“Start with your why,” K.B. advises.
“Reverse engineer your dreams. Read, reflect, and never quit—even when it looks impossible.”

Faith, meditation, and mentorship are daily rituals that keep him grounded.

“Faith isn’t just in God. It’s in yourself, your vision, and the process.”

Looking Ahead

Bukhari plans to franchise NUR Medspa and grow Stroke of Success into a full media brand—with video content, events, and strategic partnerships.

“I’m not just building a business,” he says. “I’m building a movement.”

Final Thoughts

Khurram Bukhari’s life is proof that setbacks don’t define you—your response does. From addiction and stroke to success and service, he embodies what it means to rise with intention. His journey continues to inspire a new generation of healers, hustlers, and hope-driven leaders.
